PAINTING SANDBAGS |
|
![]() Clean the model well of all flash and wash in warm, soapy water. |
![]() Primer throughly with a flat black spray paint. |
![]() Paint a KHAKI over the black. I used a 8141 Krylon Khaki Camouflage spray paint which I misted over the black. You can use a brush-on paint. Next once it is dry use a dark brown ink and wash the entire model (Inks are very thin and go into the groves of a model so the next step comes out very nice) |
![]() Next you want to "Dry Brushe" on a Khaki paint. I made my own by mixing acrylic paints I bought from Walmart: APPLE BARREL COLORS - 20778 COUNTRY TAN FOLK ART - 449 OLIVE GREEN DELTA CERAMCOAT - 02109 BROWN VELVET About a 3rd of each - Should look something like above. |
![]() Dry Brush the entire piece with the Khaki color |
![]() Should look something like this. Next mix FOLKART 515 Vintage White and Khaki and repeat... |
![]() Next I used a APPLE BARREL COLOR again, 20524 Golden Brown, and Dry Brushed with that color. |
![]() Finally I used a FOLKART 515 Vintage White and VERY lightly Dry Brushed the entire model. Be sure to seal your model with a clear coat - and you are done! |
